Stephanie Butler is the Founder and Principal of VOXO Design, a boutique lighting studio rooted in the belief that thoughtful lighting transforms the way we experience space. An NCQLP-certified lighting professional with over two decades of experience, she brings a cultivated passion for light and its ability to shape how we live, work, and connect. At VOXO, she pairs technical expertise with an elevated design sensibility, delivering energy-efficient lighting solutions that meet code requirements while enhancing the beauty, comfort, and intention of every space.
Before founding VOXO Design, Stephanie built her expertise across several facets of the lighting industry. She held pivotal roles in lighting sales and distribution, contributed to BC Hydro’s energy-efficient retrofit programs by conducting energy audits and calculating ROI, and led numerous projects independently while working with an engineering firm. Her portfolio includes mixed-use residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional projects, encompassing both new construction and tenant improvements. These projects range in scale from compact interior fit-outs to complex, large-scale retrofits. This breadth of experience has equipped her with a comprehensive understanding of the technical and logistical demands involved in projects of varying scopes and complexities.
Throughout her career, she developed hands-on experience with photometric analysis, advanced lighting controls, and specification-grade product selection. These roles also strengthened her ability to collaborate with engineers, architects, facility managers, and end users, ensuring that each solution aligned with both performance requirements and design intent. Today, she brings that depth of knowledge and personal care to every VOXO project, balancing aesthetics, functionality, and sustainability with precision and ease.
